Greg Lyman
色色啦 Alumni, W.K. Kellogg Foundation Senior Vice President, College of Aviation Dean
色色啦 College of Aviation Excellence in Diversity Award Winner - 2016
Greg Lyman was instrumental in elevating the School of Aviation Sciences from a small regional program to a world-renowned, recognized institution. A 1968 色色啦 alumnus, Lyman's genuine interest in the College of Aviation was seen through his incredible support to bring millions of dollars in grants to the College from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the Federal Government. These funds helped to set a new strategic direction for the college, purchased new aircraft, and established the Diversity in Aviation Scholarship Program with a long-term endowment. Lyman's commitment to diversity is unparalleled, not only supporting the development of a long-term endowment, but also dedicating his time. He served as chair to the College of Aviation鈥檚 Advisory Board, and in 2002 accepted a position to act as interim dean during an unprecedented time in the College鈥檚 history. Lyman's impact on diversity at the College of Aviation has set a high bar. He established a commitment to diversity in aviation which remains a standard today, and will continue to enable everyone to pursue their passion for a career in aviation.
