Accelerated Path to Delta Air Lines
The Propel Pilot Career Path Program is Delta鈥檚 way to identify, select and develop the next generation of pilots. The Propel program is the first in the U.S. to offer students their choice of three unique career routes after gaining ATP minimums as a CFI at 色色啦 Michigan University. Then, an accelerated timeline to progress to Delta, in 42 months or less, after:
- Flying for a Delta Connection Carrier
- Flying for Wheels Up
- Flying military aircraft for the Air National Guard or Reserves
Candidates will be chosen throughout the year and will be provided with a Qualified Job Offer (QJO) detailing a defined path and timeline to become a Delta pilot. Students must hold a private pilot license and be at least a junior in the program to apply. Those who have graduated within the past 6 months are also eligible. Applications are accepted online continuously. If successful in the selection process, you will be invited to an interview with the selection team during their next campus visit.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the Collegiate Pilot Career Path, students must be enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, an R-ATP eligible major at one of Delta's partner institutions above. The program is open to Juniors, Seniors, and students who graduated within the previous 6 months who intend to seek employment at their university as a flight instructor. Pilots must hold, at minimum, a Private Pilot certificate and must have completed at least one additional Part-141 flight course at the partner institution. In order to join Propel, pilots must hold a First Class Medical (note: it is acceptable if privileges have lapsed to second or third class). A pilot must hold or be able to hold a current passport or other travel documents enabling the bearer to freely exit and re-enter the U.S. (multiple re-entry status) and be legally eligible to work in the U.S. (possess proper working documents).
