Jason DeGeorge joined the College of Aviation in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Minnesota State University, and a Master of Arts from National Defense University. Jason has over twenty years’ experience as an Aviation Officer in the US Army and 4 years as the Professor of Military Science and Department Chair at Michigan State University.
Jason’s aviation career began in the US Army where he flew the TH-67, OH-58, UH-60, and MH-60 Helicopters. He has been a Pilot, Pilot in Command, and Maintenance Test Pilot; achieving the rating of Master Army Aviator. He is an experienced Maintenance Test Pilot, Aviation Maintenance Manager, and Aviation Operations Officer. Throughout his career he has served in leadership positions ranging from small teams to large complex organizations. Always on the cutting edge of aviation technology Jason has worked as a Director and Operations Manager on multiple aviation advanced research and development programs and completed an internship with the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) in 2014.
Jason enjoys education because it gives him the opportunity to continue to help others achieve their dreams and career aspirations while remaining within a group of like-minded aviation enthusiasts and high achievers.
