Hall of Honor Class of 2023
National Championship Team
The É«É«À² Sky Broncos Precision Flight Team won the National Intercollegiate Flying Association National Championship held in Salina, KS on May 5th – 9th, 1998. The 13-member team was led by three Co-Captains, Patrick Denney, Greg Killeen, and Jennifer Richard. The other team members were Jesse Coeling, Bob Eddy, Eric Johnson, Nicole Neibert, Jay Orwin, Kelly Patterson, Greg Vanderwell, Matthew White, Kevin Wiig, and Aaron Wood. The team was guided by Head Coach Mark Serbenski and Assistant Coach Ryan Seiler. The Sky Broncos members earned team points by placing within the top ten of all competitors in 4 flight and 5 ground events. The Sky Broncos had a convincing victory over the 27 other schools from around the nation by winning with 139 team points compared to the 2nd place team with just 83 points. The team took 1st place in flying events and 2nd place in ground events. They also earned the 1st place Judge’s Trophy which ranks the placing of all competitors in the entire competition to show team depth. The Sky Broncos team members earned numerous individual honors including Jennifer Richard being crowned as the National Top Pilot of the competition.
