Improvement Advisor

We are seeking an Improvement Advisor to support partners working in education and social services through various continuous improvement initiatives. The individual in this role must be able to work independently and within large, multi-disciplinary teams while maintaining and developing strong, collaborative relationships. Improvement Advisor must demonstrate a commitment to equity and social justice and be willing to engage in on-going reflection and learning about what it means to be a leader for equity.

Candidates must have demonstrated skills and experience, including:

  • Strong social-emotional intelligence and cultural competence; ability to work effectively across difference including gender, race, culture and other markers of social difference
  • Identifying improvement needs and resources of specific communities
  • Coaching organizations on how to run and manage improvement processes and build structures for participating improvement teams to collaborate and learn from each other
  • Providing thought partnership to the team and clients/partners to identify opportunities for growth in projects/networks and set direction and vision for the work
  • Training and coaching teams in key continuous improvement skills, such as testing changes, analysis of data and root cause analysis methods
  • Collaborating with project partners and colleagues to design and facilitate meaningful community events
