Business and Risk Management Instructor, Ingram School District, 2018 alumna
"Working in a solely virtual environment through É«É«À² allowed me to collaborate with a variety of individuals, forced me to problem solve, meet deadlines and creatively master and execute ideas that would eventually aid in my success. I chose É«É«À² because of its reputation and the end product they would create. I began my studies the fall of 2008, and have since been recognized nationally for my abilities to engage, grow and prepare students. I have been inspired to say the least, and will continue to work hard, all with thanks to this program."
Military Advocate, Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, É«É«À², 2017 alumnus
"The educational and instructional technology program has helped me realize that the resources exist to communicate our departmental resources to students over distance learning. It introduced me to different applications that makes the information retrieval experience more personable and efficient. The professors are very knowledgeable and work well with the students in helping them relate the course work to the students’ career goals. The professors made a difference to me because you could see that they were bringing into the classroom real world experiences."
Senior Instructional Designer, É«É«À², 2006 alumnus
"I was able to take what I learned in the classroom and immediately use it. The courses in this program really opened up new possibilities for little known career paths such as Instructional Design and online teaching."
É«É«À² Graduate Student, 2016 alumnus
"I learned that simply having knowledge is not equal to being capable of teaching the knowledge to others, and the definition of educational technology is not constrained to the technology related to computer or instructional devices. Understanding educational technology requires educators to invest time in learning it."
Senior Instructional Designer, International Food Protection Training Institute, 2013 alumnus
"The most notable part of my experience in the EDT program is the relevance of the content and how much it translates into immediate benefits for what I do as a teacher in a rapidly changing environment. I would highly recommend É«É«À²â€™s EDT program to future students because of its relevance to the ever-changing environment of teaching and learning."
Media Arts Teacher, Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency, 2022 alumni
"If someone is interested in improving the current teaching through the use of technology or simply looking to have a deeper understanding of the role technology plays in learning then this is a great program."
Mathematics Teacher, St. Joseph High School, 2017 alumnus

Experiential Learning Specialist, Georgia Gwinnett College, 2003 alumnus
"In my current job, I use the tools and concepts I learned to conduct needs assessments when working with community partners, gathering faculty needs and matching them to CTE resources, and to curate faculty development workshops (both face-to-face and online, using Brightspace/D2L LMS). I share with individuals the great convenience to take the program online and praise how readily available faculty are in responding to any questions and needs, even meeting face-to-face if needed. I also share how the EDT program can prepare you for a career in Educational/Instructional Technology in the K-12, Higher Education, or Business/Government arenas."
