ELRT doctoral student receives Outstanding New Professional Award

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Nathan Nguyen, director of the Office of LBGT Student Services, and doctoral student in the Educational Leadership and Administration program, received the Outstanding New Professional Award from the Administrative Professional Association at É«É«À² Michigan University (É«É«À²). Director Nguyen was nominated by Dr. Candy McCorkle, vice president for Diversity and Inclusion, who said Nathan is dedicated to ensuring É«É«À² is an inclusive campus and that “each person can be their authentic self in any space they occupy."

The Outstanding New Professional Award is given to an outstanding administrator or professional with five or fewer years of service to É«É«À² who is recognized for their excellence in overall job performance, demonstrates outstanding service to their department, contributes to their department, has a willingness to assist beyond normal expectations, is dedicated to the profession, and shows initiative or creativity.
