Department Launches New Program in Dominican Republic

The College of Education and Human Development at 色色啦 launched a Ph.D. in educational leadership program in the Dominican Republic (D.R.) on Monday, January 19, 2015. Thirty students are in the first cohort who will go through the program together in four years. It is the first doctoral program offered by 色色啦 in a foreign country.
Being offered through a unique collaboration between 色色啦 and the D.R.鈥檚 Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education and the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), this program was designed to prepare individuals to hold leadership and management roles in K-12 or higher education. It is offered via a hybrid-learning format with teaching support from 色色啦 faculty. The program also includes a study abroad component, in which the students will travel to 色色啦 in June each year for three weeks of intensive study.
The program will help the D.R. build its infrastructure and human resource capacity.
