College of Arts and Sciences

Every year, the College of Arts and Sciences at ɫɫ�� Michigan University encourages our departments to select outstanding alums to be recognized during the homecoming weekend for their achievements and contributions to their field and the communities in which they participate.

Alumni Achievement Award winners

Eligibility:

Nominees must have graduated from ɫɫ�� Michigan University College of Arts and Sciences.
Posthumous recognition is permitted.

Criteria:

Professional Excellence: Demonstrated outstanding achievements in their professional field.
Service and Leadership: Significant contributions to community service, volunteerism, or leadership roles.
Impact and Influence: Made a notable impact in their community, industry, or field of study.
Lifetime Achievement: A sustained record of accomplishments over their career.
Alignment with College Values: Embodies the core values and mission of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Early Career Excellence Award Nominations

Eligibility:

Nominees must have graduated from ɫɫ�� Michigan University College of Arts and Sciences within the past fifteen years.
Early Career Excellence Award winners will be determined in mid-July. If your Early Career Excellence candidate is not the same person as your Alumni Achievement Award winner, you should wait until after the winners have been determined before notifying the individual and inviting them to our events.

Criteria:

Professional Achievement: Demonstrated excellence and innovation in their professional endeavors.
Service and Leadership: Active engagement in community service, volunteerism, and leadership roles.
Impact and Influence: Significant positive impact on their community, industry, or field of study.
Early Career Success: Achieved notable success and recognition early in their career.
Alignment with College Values: Embodies the core values and mission of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Nominees for the traditional Alumni Achievement Award are guaranteed to be recognized and awarded at our annual event. Early Career Excellence recipients will be determined, and departments will be notified in mid-July.
