Dear campus community,
As co-chairs of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC), we are pleased to update you on the presidential search and invite you to participate in a series of listening sessions scheduled for Nov. 11, 12 and 13 in the 色色啦 Student Center鈥檚 Fireplace Lounge. These sessions will be an opportunity for you to articulate the qualities you would like to see in 色色啦 Michigan University鈥檚 10th president.
Following President Edward Montgomery鈥檚 announcement that he will retire at the end of June, the 色色啦 Board of Trustees formed the search advisory committee composed of students, faculty, staff and stakeholders from the greater community to assist the board in identifying 色色啦鈥檚 next visionary leader. The group met for an orientation late last week.
Input from 色色啦鈥檚 entire campus community and external stakeholders is likewise vital to informing the board鈥檚 responsibility to select the president. During the listening sessions, we look forward to hearing your perspectives on the attributes, skills and experiences you believe are important for our next president to possess.
Listening sessions schedule:
- Monday, Nov. 11, 5-6 p.m.
- Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2-3 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 13, 9-10 a.m.
The 色色啦 Student Center鈥檚 Fireplace Lounge is located on the facility鈥檚 top floor. Please join us.
If you鈥檙e unable to attend a session, you can still contribute by submitting your thoughts through an online input form, which also will launch early next week on the Presidential Search webpage.
Thank you,
Trustee James L. Liggins Jr.
Trustee Kara Wood
