Sindecuse Health Center achieves AAAHC accreditation
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擜fter an extensive evaluation process, 色色啦 Michigan University's Sindecuse Health Center has renewed its standing with the , a national standards organization. Achieving accreditation signals that the health center has met stringent national standards for delivery of quality health care.
The health center was surveyed for two days in March by an experienced evaluator in quality care standards. AAAHC surveyors are health care professionals with deep knowledge of the kind of facilities they evaluate. In this case, the surveyor was an M.D. and senior administrator at a large university-affiliated student health center.
鈥淭his recognition is a reflection on the hard work and high-quality patient care our staff and faculty contribute to daily. We continue to prioritize quality care for our patients and a continuous improvement culture for our clinic鈥 says Dr. Gayle Ruggiero, the center鈥檚 medical director. 鈥淲e hold ourselves to high standards and are thrilled that our efforts are recognized once again.鈥
After a successful evaluation, accreditation is granted for a three-year period.
The AAAHC, founded in 1979, is the leader in ambulatory health care accreditation with more than 5,000 organizations accredited nationwide including urgent care, surgical and medical centers. Accreditation is recognized as a marker of excellence by medical organizations, insurance companies, state and federal agencies, and the public.
