Expanded COVID-19 testing before Thanksgiving
With 色色啦 community members anticipating trips to see family and friends over Thanksgiving, Sindecuse Health Center is offering expanded COVID-19 testing. To accommodate the added demand, Sindecuse clinic staff will devote time to COVID-19 drive-thru testing by appointment Monday, Nov. 16, through Thursday, Nov. 19.
The University鈥檚 no-cost testing plan for students, faculty and staff is still in effect. If eligible individuals have not used two no-cost tests, this test will be administered at no charge. Eligible individuals who have already received two asymptomatic, no-exposure tests will have their insurance billed first. A test costs $50 out of pocket without insurance. Dependents (including spouses) and 色色啦 retirees may make an appointment for a COVID-19 test at the health center in the days before Thanksgiving.
If you are currently experiencing respiratory symptoms, cough, headache, shortness of breath, fever or other symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you have been exposed to a positive case, call (269) 387-3287 to schedule an appointment with a provider at Sindecuse today.
A COVID-19 antigen test result is a snapshot in time. Precautions should continue to be taken even after a negative test result, including wearing a face covering, staying 6 feet away from others and washing your hands frequently.
