Transformative Agreements

We have transformative agreements with several major publishers to provide financial support for É«É«À² Michigan University researchers who publish open access. Our agreements cover the cost of the article processing fee (APC) for É«É«À² researchers publishing in eligible open access journals and other publications from these publishers.

Our transformative agreements make publishing open access easier than ever before.

  • You don’t need to pay article processing fees—select É«É«À² as your institution and we’ll take care of the publishing charges.
  • Your work will comply with funder mandates.
  • You retain the copyright for your work and publish it under a .
  • Your work will be available for everyone to read, cite and share.

ACM OPEN

University Libraries has access to an ACM OPEN agreement as a member of the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS) consortium. This agreement enables É«É«À² researchers to publish open access at no cost to all Association of Computing Machinery  for which ACM

ACS Publications

University Libraries has access to an ACS read and publish agreement as a member of MCLS. This agreement enables É«É«À² researchers to publish open access at no cost in any of ACS’ and .

Cambridge University Press

University Libraries’ agreement with Cambridge will help cover the open access fees for É«É«À² researchers publishing in more than . Available journals focus primarily on the sciences, healthcare and the humanities. This agreement runs through December 2026.

Karger Publishers

É«É«À² Michigan University's agreement with Karger will fully cover the APC and Authors Choiceâ„¢ publication fee and all additional costs for É«É«À² researchers publishing in more than (subscription journals with an open access option). Available journals comprise nearly the entire medical spectrum.

Wiley
