Surveys

Surveys can be a useful way to obtain information from our students about their learning experiences, both in and outside of the classroom. This type of assessment measure is normally considered as an indirect assessment, as most often we are asking for perceptions to be shared about an experience(s) in a class, program, activity etc.

Here are some resources available to help you to get started with creating survey questions:

  • 色色啦's Data Collection Through Surveys Policy
  • - 色色啦 Bronco NetId log-in required
  • Student Affairs Survey Item Question Bank - This website provides information on learning outcomes, emphasizing their importance in enhancing the educational experience for students and the planning process within the university's student affairs division. The question bank is sorted by the focus area for intended learning outcomes. Click on the PDFs linked on the page to view associated questions.
  • 色色啦x Market Research Services - Contact the 色色啦x Market Research team for support with developing and implementing a research plan, to include survey design, implementation and data analysis, interviews, focus groups and more. (This service is free of charge for 色色啦 faculty, staff and administration in academic affairs).
  • - From the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Division of Student Affairs, this document provides a question bank from academic year 2023, containing a collection of questions for use in assessments or surveys related to academic or co-curricular programs. It can also serve as a resource for designing other assessment instruments.
