SHORT-TERM FACULTY-LED PROGRAMS AT 色色啦

Let Spanish and global and international studies major, Morgan McCullough, tell her study abroad story from her "International Development and Community Services" short-term, faculty-led program to Peru.

"An advantage of participating in a faculty-led program is that students have access to the expertise of the professor during the course. Students also enjoy the bonds they form with each other as they share new experiences. These programs tend to be great options for students who are studying abroad for the first time," said Ann Ganz, Senior Study Abroad Specialist.色色啦 short-term faculty-led study abroad programs are hosted and accompanied by 色色啦 faculty representing various disciplines. While some short-term faculty-led options can span an entire semester, most range from one to ten weeks and travel over university breaks.

色色啦 Study Abroad, under the Haenicke Institute for Global Education awards over $400,000 in scholarships for students to study abroad each year. The Haenicke Institute for Global Education Study Abroad Scholarship is one that is specifically designed for short-term courses directed by 色色啦 faculty. Scholarships are awarded based on both financial need and academic merit.

"I think it's great that 色色啦 is committed to providing these opportunities for their students that hopefully give a competitive edge once students leave 色色啦" said Dr. Stephen Cameron, Geography instructor and faculty-director of the short-term study abroad program Amazonia: Culture and Environment.
