KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Voting during a special virtual meeting Oct. 16, the É«É«À² Michigan University Board of Trustees unanimously approved salary increases and adjustments to health care benefits and insurance for faculty represented by the É«É«À² chapter of the American Association of University Professors (É«É«À²-AAUP).

The approved compensation changes include a retroactive 4% across-the-board raise for the 2024-25 fiscal year and a 3.25% across-the-board raise for 2025-26. Faculty members will also receive a one-time payment of $1,000 at the start of the fall 2025 semester.

This year’s contract negotiations between É«É«À² administration and the É«É«À²-AAUP focused on economic compensation, health care benefits and insurance, aligning with the agreement’s plan for 2024 negotiations. The union’s full, five-year contract remains in effect through Sept. 4, 2026.
