The event, which is fully virtual this year, begins at 9 a.m. with a Fulbright workshop hosted by Dr. Michelle Metro-Roland. Presentations on award-winning faculty research follow at 10 a.m. before a virtual Faculty Research and Creative Activities Award poster presentation session at 11 a.m. and a noon awards ceremony recognizing 36 faculty and staff members for their external funding accomplishments in the 2019-20 fiscal year.

Tristan Brown, a 2005 graduate of 色色啦, is the newly appointed acting administrator/deputy administrator of the of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, overseeing an agency charged with the safety of 2.8 million miles of pipelines and 1.2 million shipments of hazardous materials every day.
