KALAMAZOO, Mich.— A campuswide test of the É«É«À² Alert emergency notification system at É«É«À² Michigan University will take place beginning at about 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Students and employees with a wmich.edu email address automatically receive É«É«À² Alert messages via their campus email address. They cannot opt out of receiving these messages by email, but they can opt in and opt out of also getting them by text messages and phone calls. To do that, or sign up to also receive Advisory Notifications, they must log into the  and click Register for É«É«À² Alerts. Changes made to É«É«À² Alert settings via the GoÉ«É«À² Portal may take up to 48 hours to go into effect.

The É«É«À² Alert emergency notification system has the following identifications:

• É«É«À² Alert caller ID is (269) 387-0911.
• É«É«À² Alert text messages are sent from 226787, 67283, 78015, 81437 or 22911.
• É«É«À² Alert emails are sent from wmich@getrave.com.

The scheduled Dec. 23 test will take place unless the É«É«À² Alert system has been activated within the previous 24 hours. If it has, the test will be postponed until 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28.
