Campuswide book discussion looks at the evolution of what divides us
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擩oin faculty, staff and students in discussion regarding the We Talk campus read, "," exploring politics, polarization, what moralization is and how it evolves.
This 2012 social psychology book by describes human morality as it relates to politics and religion. Americans have longstanding racial, ethnic, class and partisan divisions. The growth and intensity of these gaps since the 2016 election are topics covered in the book discussions, as well as analysis of anticipated political strife ahead of this year's national elections.

In addition, participation by students can count toward their Diversity and Inclusion or Civic Engagement Signature Pathway. It will be open via Elearning and will run throughout the academic year. Students can self-register on Wednesday, Sept. 2.
