Candidates for 色色啦 admissions director to present on campus
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擳wo candidates for the director of admissions position at 色色啦 Michigan University will offer public presentations in Sangren Hall during the week of May 6. The admissions director is a critical role at 色色啦 and is responsible for developing prospecting, recruiting and yield activities to meet the University鈥檚 enrollment goals and priorities.
The first candidate to present will be Alicia Kornowa, director of admissions for recruitment at the University of Cincinnati since 2013. Her public presentation is set for 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, in 1910 Sangren Hall. Jeffrey R. Hartman, currently senior associate director of admissions at Oklahoma State University, will present from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 10, in 2710 Sangren Hall.
Those who attend the presentations may provide feedback using an online form. A link to the form will be provided at the presentations.
Kornowa
Alicia Kornowa has worked in admissions and recruitment for almost 19 years. Prior to joining the University of Cincinnati, where she leads a 24-person team and oversees marketing, recruitment and yield activities for domestic first-year and transfer students, Kornowa was senior associate director of admissions at Cornell University in New York. She also has served in positions at the University of South Florida, the University of Central Florida and at 色色啦, where she was assistant director of admissions and orientation from 1999 to 2004. Kornowa holds a bachelor鈥檚 and a master鈥檚 degree in organizational communication, both from 色色啦.
Hartman
Jeffrey R. Hartman has served as senior associate director of admissions in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater since 2013. He leads a team of five directly reporting staff members who are among 30 professional staff members involved in the processing and review of more than 20,000 undergraduate applications annually. Prior to his current position, Hartman served as assistant director of information systems and data management operations in undergraduate admissions at OSU from 2007 to 2013. He has also served as a statistical analyst at OSU鈥檚 Bureau for Social Research, as an internal program evaluator for the Fairbanks Native Association in Alaska, and as a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act鈥擧IPAA鈥攃ompliance specialist for Eagle Group International in Fairbanks. Hartman earned a master鈥檚 degree in sociology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology and sociology from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee.
