KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Chinese-American poet and novelist Dr. Xuefei Jin will speak on "Displacement as Opportunity" at a lecture at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 5, in 1910 Sangren Hall at É«É«À² Michigan University.

Jin, who uses the pen name Ha Jin, is the winner of the prestigious National Book Award and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. He is director of the creative writing program at Boston University.

His visit is being organized by É«É«À²'s Timothy Light Center for Chinese Studies, and co-sponsored by the É«É«À² Department of English, Haenicke Institute for Global Education and University Center for the Humanities.
