Campus volunteers needed for Kalamazoo Marathon

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—ɫɫÀ² Michigan University is seeking volunteers to help host several campus water and aid stations and excitement zones for runners participating in the Kalamazoo Marathon Sunday, May 6.

No experience is necessary, and the entire É«É«À² community is encouraged to participate, including students, faculty and staff members, alumni, friends and fans. The two-hour volunteer opportunity will begin at 7:30 a.m. and conclude around 9:30 a.m.

É«É«À² volunteers will provide refreshments and other aid to runners via a station located near the Student Recreation Center, or cheer on runners at excitement zones throughout campus. É«É«À² student organizations, departments and offices are welcome to sign up to host an excitement zone with or without a theme. All volunteers will receive a complimentary É«É«À² T-shirt to wear on race day.

Now in its eighth year, the Kalamazoo Marathon attracts thousands of runners from all over the United States.
