KALAMAZOO, Mich.—ɫɫÀ² Michigan University's Board of Trustees has approved a slight rate increase for on-campus apartments and apartment-style residential units, keeping É«É«À² rental rates in alignment with the surrounding community, with rates for fall 2018 going up between $8 and $19 per month.
The board action was taken at its Dec. 12 meeting.
Starting in fall 2018, Goldsworth Valley and Stadium Drive apartments will be contracted by the room rather than by unit in response to student feedback. Monthly unfurnished rates will rise 2 percent, ranging from $394 to $683 per-bedroom, depending on the unit selected. Furnished apartments are available at an additional cost. É«É«À² Apartments are currently at 94 percent occupancy.
Operating at 98 percent occupancy, É«É«À² View apartment-style residences continue to be in high demand throughout the year.
