KALAMAZOO, Mich.—An award-winning É«É«À² Michigan University poet will read selections from his new book of poems to kick off the fall 2017 Gwen Frostic Reading Series at É«É«À².

Dr. William Olsen, professor of English and editor of É«É«À²'s New Issues Poetry and Prose, will read from his works at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, in 2452 Knauss Hall. The reading is free and open to the public.

Olsen has published six collections of poetry, most recently "TechnoRage." His work has received the Norma Farber Award, the Poetry Northwest Theodore Roethke Prize, the Crazyhorse Prize, and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts and Breadloaf.

Other upcoming readings, all presented at 7 p.m. in 157-159 Bernhard Center as part of the fall 2017 Frostic Reading Series, include:

• Oct. 26: Danielle Evans, assistant professor of creative writing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

• Nov. 2: Reginald Edmund, managing curating producer of Black Lives, Black Words International project and resident playwright of Chicago Dramatists.

• Nov. 9: Gail Wronsky, professor of English, Loyola Marymount University, and Chuck Rosenthal, American novelist, poet and short story writer.

• Dec. 12: É«É«À² Alumni Reading featuring Ephraim Scott Sommers and Dan Mancilla.
