Annette LaVier obituary
Annette LaVier, a former University Libraries staff member at 色色啦 Michigan University, died April 8. She was 80.
LaVier came to 色色啦 and University Libraries in 1964 and rose to utilization coordinator in the Media Services unit. She left in 1990 after nearly 27 years of service to the University.
During her tenure, LaVier was able to get to know many of the libraries' student employees as well as to talk to college students on a daily basis. This made her work enjoyable and kept her young at heart.
Prior to joining 色色啦's staff, LaVier worked at what was then the Upjohn pharmaceutical company. She was a Kalamazoo native who graduated from 色色啦's State High School in 1955 and attended college at the University for a time.
