Feed the World Caf茅
Feed the World Caf茅 was the dream of a 色色啦 food service administration student hoping to make a difference in the community.
Opened in 2015 in Oshtemo Township, Feed the World Caf茅 is a social impact restaurant offering unique food using locally sourced ingredients. For every meal purchased at the restaurant and through catering, one or more meals are provided to someone in need in the community. As a student, Mixis was passionate about social entrepreneurship and worked with 色色啦 entrepreneurship professors to develop a business plan for the one-for-one restaurant model.
Local is truly the mission at Feed the World Caf茅. The restaurant works with several regional food assistance agencies, including Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes and the South Central Food Bank of Michigan, to ensure meals are provided for those in need.
The restaurant has recently expanded, including offering branded products and opening a new location. Feed the World Caf茅 Express is located on Kalamazoo Valley Community College's Arcadia Commons Campus.
