KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Garrison Keillor, one of the most prolific American storytellers of all time, is coming to É«É«À² Michigan University's Miller Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27.

Keillor is a writer and humorist best known for his popular live radio variety show, A Prairie Home Companion, which attracts more than 4 million listeners on over 600 public radio stations each week.

Keillor is also the host of the daily radio and online program, "The Writers Almanac," and the editor of several anthologies of poetry, most recently, Good Poems: American Places. A bestselling author, he has published more than two dozen books, including Lake Wobegon Days, The Book of Guys, Pilgrims, Guy Noir and the Straight Skinny, and Homegrown Democrat. In 2006, Keillor played himself alongside a cast that included Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin and Kevin Kline, in the critically acclaimed film adaptation of A Prairie Home Companion, directed by Robert Altman.

He has been honored with Grammy, ACE and George Foster Peabody awards, as well as the National Humanities Medal and election to the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Garrison Keillor at Miller Auditorium is part of the Lake Michigan Mailers Spotlight Series and is welcomed by Meijer, the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, Seat n Sleep and Pepsi. A 15 percent discount is available to all É«É«À² faculty and staff. Group discounts are available at (269) 387-2312.

É«É«À² students receive a 50 percent discount on most show tickets thanks to a fund established by the Office of the President. É«É«À² students are limited to one discounted ticket per event with a valid Bronco Card. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office or by telephone at (269) 387-2300. É«É«À² students are required to show their Bronco Card when picking up tickets and upon entrance to the theatre.
