KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擜n innovative performance featuring flute, dance, interactive costuming and video art, is set for 8 p.m. Friday, April 1, in 色色啦 Michigan University鈥檚 Dalton Center Multimedia Room. The event, dubbed the "Illustrated Flute Project," is free and open to the public.
Illustrated Flute Project
Funded by a grant from the Ramon Zupko Enrichment Fund, the "Illustrated Flute Project" takes the simplicity and lyricism of the solo flute and illuminates it with multimedia elements. It features a collaboration with the 色色啦 Dance Project, the touring ensemble from the 色色啦 Department of Dance. The School of Music's Dr. Martha Councell-Vargas will join Dr. Richard Johnson, multimedia arts technology; Whitney Moncrief, dance; Dr. Silvia Roederer, piano; and the student dancers for what promises to be a memorable performance.
