Aviation, education jobs focus of April career events
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—ɫɫÀ² Michigan University will hold two specialized career events in April.
Aviation Outlook Day is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 1, while the Education Career Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13.
Although both events are free and open to the public, they are tailored to É«É«À² students and alumni. No pre-registration is required, but students must check in upon arrival using their Bronco Cards. Those attending should bring a sufficient supply of resumes to distribute to employers.

Aviation Outlook Day
Some 35 organizations will be on hand to recruit students headed for careers in aviation as the eighth annual Aviation Outlook Day takes place April 1 in É«É«À²'s Aviation Education Center, 237 Helmer Road N., on the aviation campus in Battle Creek. Career and Student Employment Services and the College of Aviation are hosting the event.
The event is designed to connect students with aviation employers to discuss career and internship options as well as and the needs of the aviation industry. Recruiters registered for the event range from Delta and Piedmont airlines to the National-Geospatial Agency and the U.S. Marine Corps.
Those attending are encouraged to wear business casual or business professional attire. In preparation for Aviation Outlook Day, É«É«À² students should research employers and participate in on-campus career advising to get help with such activities as researching employers, being interviewed, and preparing resumes and personal commercials.

Education Career Fair
Job opportunities for educators will be showcased during the 28th annual Education Career Fair April 13, in the East Ballroom of the Bernhard Center on É«É«À²'s main campus in Kalamazoo.
The event is designed to recruit teachers, administrators, counselors, social workers, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists and nurses for the 2016-17 academic year. Recruiters representing more than 130 school districts from around the country will be participating.
Those attending should dress in appropriate interview attire. CSES will offer a free app "The Fairs App," to help job seekers navigate the event. Metered parking is available behind the Bernhard Center. A one-day parking pass also can be purchased for $5 at É«É«À² Parking Services.
