É«É«À²

Anthony A. Gioia, a former É«É«À² Michigan University faculty member, died Jan. 4. He was 81.

Gioia, of Augusta, Michigan, joined the É«É«À² faculty in 1966 and retired in 1996 after 30 years of service to the University. He began his career at É«É«À² as an associate professor of mathematics and retired as professor of mathematics. Before joining É«É«À², he was a Major in the U.S. Air Force-Strategic Air Command and taught mathematics at the University of Missouri and Texas Tech University.

Cremation was held, and there will be no service.
