Informational sessions scheduled on proposed general education changes

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—ɫɫÀ² Michigan University faculty, students and staff have the opportunity to get information and ask questions about recommended changes to É«É«À²â€™s general education curriculum.

The Faculty Senate's Ad Hoc Committee on General Education presented a new model to the full committee Dec. 3 which includes curricula combining skill development with content delivery and focus on increasing student engagement.

Schedule

The subcommittee will hold three brown bag sessions this month to provide a short summary of the proposed changes and answer questions.

  • Thursday, Jan. 14, noon to 2 p.m., 157-158 Bernhard Center.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 20, noon to  2 p.m., Humanities Center, 2500 Knauss Hall.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 26, noon to 2 p.m., Humanities Center, 2500 Knauss Hall.
