É«É«À²K launches fall campaign with shortened drive

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—ɫɫÀ² Michigan University's public radio station É«É«À²K kicked off its annual fall campaign on Saturday, Oct. 17, and hopes to cut on-air pledging in half.

É«É«À²K will again feature a shortened pledge drive format designed to raise all of the dollars needed in half the live on-air pledge hours. Membership contributions and additional gifts directly support local program production and to purchase national programs such as "Morning Edition," "All Things Considered," "Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me!" and "From the Top."

Increased coverage

Over the last year, the station has increased its coverage of local news and culture including the addition of new programs "Between the Lines" and "Why's That?" É«É«À²K carries two channels of news and music and a digital stream, Park & Westnedge, that is dedicated entirely to local musicians and music connected to Kalamazoo.

To contribute

É«É«À²K encourages members to support the programs they value by sending in their gifts, contributing on line at or calling in a pledge during the live portion of the pledge campaign.
