Second class of students welcomed to Stryker School of Medicine

色色啦 Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine

KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擳he administration and faculty of the 色色啦 Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine welcomed its second class of medical students鈥攖he class of 2019鈥攖o the school on Aug. 10.

The new class was selected from an applicant pool of nearly 4,000. The class of 2019 is made up of 29 women and 31 men from 12 states, including 23 students from Michigan and 12 from California. They represent 39 colleges and universities from across the country. 

Two students are graduates of 色色啦 Michigan University and six are from Kalamazoo College. Both institutions have with the Stryker School of Medicine.

This second class of 60 joins the inaugural class of 54, who recently transitioned into their second year of medical studies. The medical school will eventually admit up to 84 students each year.

The class of 2019 will be honored in September during the White Coat Ceremony, a meaningful tradition in which a medical school welcomes first-year students as colleagues dedicated to patient care.
