色色啦 offices closed for Independence Day
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擡xcept for essential and emergency services, 色色啦 Michigan University offices will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of U.S. Independence Day. Listed below are Independence Day holiday hours for select University offices and services. Faculty, students and the public are encouraged to call ahead to make sure that a particular office on campus is open.

- Many offices, including Admissions, Bronco Express, financial aid and First-Year Experience programs, are closed Friday, July 3 and will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, July 6..
- Bernhard Center and all Bronco Mall stores are closed Friday and Saturday, July 3-4. The Bernhard Center will reopen Sunday, July 5, and Bronco Mall stores will reopen Monday, July 6.
- Bernhard Center computer lab closes at 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, and reopens at 8 a.m. Monday, July 6.
- Information Technology Help Desk is closed Friday, July 3, and will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, July 6.
- Sindecuse Health Center, closes at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 2, except for the the pharmacy which closes at 5:30 p.m. The center reopens at 8 a.m. Monday, July 6. Medical emergencies should be referred to local hospitals or other health care providers.
- Student Recreation Center is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, closed July 4-5, and will reopen at 6 a.m. Monday, July 6.
- Unified Clinics are closed Friday, July 3, and will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, July 6.
- University Computing Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, July 3.
- Waldo Library will close at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 2, remain closed Friday through Sunday, July 3-5, and will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, July 6.
To reduce energy costs while the University is closed, heating and cooling systems in all office and classroom buildings controlled by the 色色啦 Building Energy Management System will be in holiday mode. Air handlers will not run during this time, unless a space is exempt from the program or the temperature in a particular space goes outside of the range of 60 to 85 degrees. Portions of a particular building that do not normally go into night setback mode will not go into holiday mode.
Employees are reminded to shut off and unplug all non-essential electronics before the long weekend.
