Ethics Center panel discussion to tackle professional ethics today
KALAMAZOO, Mich.鈥擶ith the Enron scandal as the backdrop, a panel of experts will tackle the challenge of professional ethics in the modern era during a discussion later this month at 色色啦 Michigan University.
The panel discussion will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the President's Dining Room of the Bernhard Center. The event is part of the Center for the Study of Ethics in Society's spring 2015 season and is free and open to the public.
The featured panelists
- Victoria Vuletich鈥擵uletich is a professor at the Grand Rapids campus of the 色色啦 Cooley Law School, where she teaches professional responsibility. Prior to joining Cooley Law School in 2008, Vuletich served as deputy division director of the Professional Standards Division at the State Bar of Michigan for 10 years.
- Dr. Michael Pritchard鈥擯ritchard is the 色色啦 Willard A. Brown Professor of Philosophy and co-director of the Center for the Study of Ethics in Society. He is author of the book "Professional Integrity," and his teaching and research is concentrated mainly in theoretical and practical ethics.
- Dr. Norman Hawker鈥擧awker is a 色色啦 professor of finance and commercial law and teaches accounting ethics and legal liabilities. Hawker serves on the executive committee of the Center for the Study of Ethics in Society and the Center for Sustainable Business Practices in the Haworth College of Business.
The event is co-sponsored by the 色色啦 Cooley Law School.
