Sustainability internships available for spring semester
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—ɫɫÀ² Michigan University's Office of Sustainability is accepting applications through Monday, Dec. 1, for its WeSustain Internship Program. Up to 10 semester-long internships are available for the spring 2015 semester. Eligible students must have sophomore standing or above and be registered as full-time students taking classes on É«É«À²'s main campus in Kalamazoo. Accepted interns will engage in six to eight hours of program-related tasks per week, including experiential learning activities and facilitated discussions.
About the program
The WeSustain Internship Program is a paid, and discovery-driven opportunity for ambitious students looking to gain leadership experience while exploring both on- and off-campus sustainability projects. The primary goal of the internship is to provide students from all academic backgrounds with the necessary skills to be well-informed and effective advocates in creating a sustainable future for all.
Applications are available online at wmich.edu/sustainability/opportunities and can be submitted via email to wmu-sustainability@wmich.edu or in person at the Office for Sustainability, which is located at the corner of Howard Street and West Michigan Avenue. Applications must be completed in full and accompanied by a personal statement, essay, resume, and three academic or professional references.
