Richard Katrovas

Katrovas is the recipient of numerous grants and awards and is the author of 14 books of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. Katrovas was on a Fulbright fellowship and a writer-in-residence at the University of Ljubljana when he witnessed the Velvet Revolution on a visit to Prague.

His latest book, "Raising Girls in Bohemia: Meditations of an American Father," was released this fall and is described as a "memoir in essays." In it, Katrovas explores his unsettled childhood and the impact it has on his role as a falther to his daughters as well as the effect of that relationship on the way he sees the world. Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Kidder calls "Raising Girls in Bohemia" "a potent, fascinating book."
