KALAMAZOO, Mich.— É«É«À² Michigan University's Real Talk Diversity Series continues this fall with a candid discussion about the challenges and successes of the professional job search for minority groups.

Tim Terrentine, president of the Kalamazoo Regional Chamber of Commerce, will speak from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the Multicultural Center in the Adrian Trimpe Building. Refreshments will be provided.

The establishment of a diverse workforce is often marketed as the focus of many corporations and organizations.

A two-time É«É«À² alumnus, vice president for Southwest Michigan First and trustee on the Board of Directors at É«É«À² School of Medicine, Terrentine will discuss how individuals who identify as being part of an underrepresented group best prepare themselves to be competitive and win a place in the job market. This includes best practices regarding professional development, networking and cultivating leadership skills.
