University Theatre presents 'Check Your Privilege'
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—ɫɫÀ² Michigan University theatre students will perform the original piece of documentary theatre "Check Your Privilege" Sept. 26-Oct. 12 in the York Arena Theatre inside the Gilmore Theatre Complex.

Directed by Calvin College Professor of Theatre Stephanie Sandberg and É«É«À² Professor of Theatre Dwandra Nikole Lampkin, and with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, "Check Your Privilege" has been created from dozens of interviews with people in the É«É«À² campus community. The script was written verbatim from these interviews and allows the audience to hear the words of University students, staff and faculty.
The É«É«À² Department of Theatre is honored to be a contributor to the success of the Kellogg Grant for Racial Healing through the integration of the arts. The work is community-based action research intended to deepen audiences' understanding of racial inequality and consider actions to intervene in and mitigate its impact.

Admission for the general public is $20, $18 for senior citizens and É«É«À² employees, $5 for É«É«À² students and $10 for all other students.
