This year's campaign, titled "Change the Story," has set its mark at $282,335, a number that represents all certificates and degrees awarded to É«É«À² graduates since 1904, including the anticipated number of degrees to be awarded in the current 2014-15 academic year.
Education is one of three priorities identified by the United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region including that individuals deserve employment opportunities that provide enough income to support themselves and a family and should have access to high quality and affordable healthcare.
Both the regional and campus United Way campaigns are set to launch Tuesday, Sept. 16. Through donations of time, money and advocacy, these efforts support the well-being of residents and provide tangible results.
