Exhibit curated by Lauren Rosati on display at the Richmond Center
°´¡³¢´¡²Ñ´¡´Ü°¿°¿â€”Lauren Rosati, a Brooklyn-based curator and writer, curated the exhibit "Make/Do: Contemporary Artists Perform Craft," which will be displayed in É«É«À² Michigan University's Monroe-Brown Gallery in the Richmond Center for Visual Arts from Thursday, Jan. 9 through Friday, Feb. 14.
"Make/Do" includes the work of five contemporary artists based in New York City. Whether creating teetering sculptures made from everyday objects, mobile habitats constructed from discarded materials, or paintings and totems crafted from layers of pigment, wood and paper, the artists in this exhibition knit, assemble, scatter, paint, edit, transform and mold materials into objects that retain traces of their creation.
