George O. Egland, associate professor emeritus of speech pathology at É«É«À² Michigan University, died Oct. 3. He was 104.

Egland, of Kalamazoo, joined the É«É«À² faculty in 1954 and retired in 1972 as associate professor emeritus of speech pathology after 18 years of service to the University. He was a researcher, environmentalist and advocate for American Indians.
