Some 175 employers to participate in Career Fair 2013
KALAMAZOO—ɫɫÀ² Michigan University's 35th annual Career Fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, on campus in the Bernhard Center Ballroom.
Organized by É«É«À²'s Career and Student Employment Services, the event is expected to attract some 175 employers and 3,000 job seekers. Although open to the public, it is tailored to É«É«À² students and alumni.
The participating organizations represent such diverse areas as engineering, technology, health care, government, the nonprofit sector, insurance, transportation, construction, retail and consumer products, and environmental sciences.
Employers will be recruiting for interns and college graduates. Some may conduct first-round interviews with selected candidates Friday, Feb. 15. É«É«À² students are encouraged to visit the Career Zone, located on the first floor of Ellsworth Hall, for help with preparing for the fair.
Job seekers attending Career Fair should research employers in advance, dress professionally and bring copies of an updated resume. Many employers will ask qualified candidates to complete an online employment application in lieu of submitting a paper resume. É«É«À² students are requested to bring their Bronco Cards.
