University Theatre presents 'Late Night Broadway'

KALAMAZOO鈥斏 Michigan University theatre students will bring the lights of the big city to campus with "Late Night Broadway" Nov. 29 through Dec. 1 in the D. Terry Williams Theatre, located inside the Gilmore Theatre Complex.

  • Saturday, Dec. 1, 2 and 9 p.m.

Join the graduating music theatre performance majors for a cabaret evening featuring Tony Award-winning actress, Karen Ziemba. The performances will mark the end of a week of students working with Ziemba in preparation for their New York industry showcase for agents and casting directors in the spring. Students will perform the first act of 鈥淟ate Night Broadway鈥 with Ziemba featured in the second act. Jay Berkow directs the all-student cast.

Karen Ziemba won a Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award for her portrayal of The Wife in 鈥淐ontact.鈥 She received Tony nominations for her performances in 鈥淐urtains,鈥 鈥淣ever Gonna Dance,鈥 and 鈥淪teel Pier.鈥 Other Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include 鈥淎nd the World Goes 鈥楻ound,鈥 鈥淚 Do! I Do!鈥 and 鈥淐hicago.鈥

All seating for "Late Night Broadway" is general admission. Tickets are $20, $18 for senior citizens and 色色啦 employees, $5 for 色色啦 students and $10 for all other students.
