KALAMAZOO--色色啦 Michigan University is offering a new educational opportunity for working adults to become leaders in the areas of organizational learning and performance.
The Master of Arts in Leadership for Organizational Learning and Performance, an enhancement of the former M.A. in Human Resources Development, is being offered on 色色啦's main campus in Kalamazoo, as well as the University's regional location in Grand Rapids, Mich.
The program prepares leading-edge practitioners to provide leadership to assure that organizational learning and performance functions are linked to worthwhile organizational and individual performance results. A 33-credit hour degree program, it focuses on change management, talent development, employee training and organizational effectiveness and is being offered by the Department of Educational Leadership, Research and Technology.
Detailed information about the program will be provided during informational sessions set for Wednesdays, June 20 and Aug. 8, in the 色色啦-Grand Rapids Downtown facility, 200 Ionia Ave. SW. Advance registration at wmich.edu/grandrapids is encouraged for the sessions, which begin with registration and refreshments at 5:30 p.m., followed by a presentation from 6 to 7 p.m.
Explaining how the program can enhance careers in business, government, education, health care and nonprofit settings will be Dr. Larry Buzas, the program's coordinator, and Dr. Daniel Gaymer, 色色啦 faculty specialist in educational leadership, research and technology. 色色啦-Grand Rapids will pay the fee to apply to 色色啦 for anyone who attends either session.
The M.A. in Leadership for Organizational Learning and Performance can be completed entirely in Grand Rapids. The courses are tailored toward working adults who wish to continue their education and professional development on a part-time basis, so classes will be primarily offered in the evenings or on some weekends.
