KALAMAZOO--More than 15,400 students, faculty and staff at É«É«À² Michigan University have registered with É«É«À² Alert to receive tornado warnings and notifications of campus emergencies on their cell, office or home phone.

Only students and employees can register a phone number in the system and each person can register only one number.

• É«É«À² Alert caller ID is (269) 387-0911.
• É«É«À² Alert is voice activated—speak when you answer the phone.
• É«É«À² Alert does not leave voicemail or answering machine messages.

If you are not already registered in É«É«À² Alert, or if you need to change your phone number in the system, and click É«É«À² Alert in the center of your home tab. Register the phone number you are most likely to answer.

É«É«À² Alert is used for extreme campus emergencies. It is not used to announce weather closings or for any other announcements.

Weather closings are posted immediately on the É«É«À² home page and available on the emergency information line at (269) 387-1001.
