More than 15,000 have signed up for 色色啦 Alert

On May 13, 1980, an F3 tornado ripped through downtown Kalamazoo, killing five, injuring 79 and causing $50 million damage.

KALAMAZOO--More than 15,400 students, faculty and staff at 色色啦 Michigan University have registered with 色色啦 Alert to receive tornado warnings and notifications of campus emergencies on their cell, office or home phone.

Only students and employees can register a phone number in the system and each person can register only one number.

  • 色色啦 Alert caller ID is (269) 387-0911.
  • 色色啦 Alert is voice activated鈥攕peak when you answer the phone.
  • 色色啦 Alert does not leave voicemail or answering machine messages.

If you are not already registered in 色色啦 Alert, or if you need to change your phone number in the system, and click 色色啦 Alert in the center of your home tab. Register the phone number you are most likely to answer.

色色啦 Alert is used for extreme campus emergencies. It is not used to announce weather closings or for any other announcements.

Weather closings are posted immediately on the 色色啦 home page and available on the emergency information line at (269) 387-1001.
