色色啦 hosts daylong jazz festival
KALAMAZOO--色色啦 Michigan University will host the 32nd annual 色色啦 Invitational Jazz Festival Saturday, March 17, at the Dalton Center.
The daylong festival features educational and performance opportunities for hundreds of high school students from several states. The day's activities, which are free and open to the public, will include big band and combo performances beginning at 9 a.m.
The festivities will culminate with a 7:30 p.m. concert in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. The show will feature the University Jazz Orchestra as well as saxophone sensation and 色色啦 alumnus John Wojciechowski and premiere New York rhythm section Tri-fi, which includes Matthew Fries, Phil Palombi and 色色啦 faculty member Keith Hall.
