Bio:

Dr. Olivia Gabor-Peirce is a professor of German in the Department of World Languages and Literatures at É«É«À² Michigan University. Received Ph.D. from University of Michigan with a specialization in modern German drama. Interests are modern German theater, modern German Swiss literature, gender studies in German literature, and contemporary German fiction.  First book, The Stage as ‘Der Spielraum Gottes’ (2006) deals with the representation of God on the stage in twentieth century German theater. Published articles on Friedrich Dürrenmatt and religion, as well as on Dürrenmatt and African theater. Second book, Becoming Fiction (2017), is an in-depth analysis of Dürrenmatt’s late prose works and the roles Dürrenmatt’s father and God played in Dürrenmatt’s life.  Currently working on new book project on morality in Modern German Literature.
