Alumna Clinches Victory in State House Race

Kristy Pagan, an alumna of the College of Education and Human Development, clinched victory in the Michigan state House 21st District race on Nov. 5, 2014. Pagan defeated Republican candidate Carol Ann Fausone 16, 778 votes to 13,590 in tallies from Canton, Van Buren Township and Belleville.
Pagan plans to use her 21st District seat to be a voice for public education and to fight for fixed roads, middle-class jobs and to repeal Michigan鈥檚 senior pension tax. Pagan received her bachelor's degree from the Department of Human Performance and Health Education at 色色啦 Michigan University in health education in 2004.
