General summary

Coordinates, implements and evaluates Resiliency Center Assessment and Treatment activities. Provides outpatient therapy services to youth and families.

Major duties

  • Oversees daily operations, manages therapy and autism evaluation referrals, ensures compliance with policies and training, and supports clinicians with daily tasks.
  • Manages training, clinical services, and documentation to meet contractual requirements for the treatment team. Coordinates and communicates with Integrated Services of Kalamazoo.
  • Provides clinical supervision and training to graduate students and limited licensed therapists and social workers. Signs therapeutic notes, treatment plans, and billing claims.
  • Provides outpatient therapy to youth and families, completes clinical documentation, develops treatment plans and discharge summaries, and verifies billing claims.
  • Provides case management services and advocacy to youth and families.
  • Performs clinical trauma assessments, writes detailed reports, collaborates with teams to summarize findings. Advocates for assessed families and children.
  • Conducts Autism diagnostic assessments and determines the criteria for Autism. Provides clinical documentation following the assessment and verifies billing claims.
  • Provides training to the community and community partners.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in trauma assessment and treatment, as well as experience in the assessment and treatment of traumatized children and youth.
  • Experience with supervision and coordination.

Required other

  • Licensure as Master-level Social Worker (LLMSW or LMSW) in the State of Michigan or License Psychologist/Counselor.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
